About
The Networked Individual was created by Olle Lindholm in April 2010.
He has previously blogged for FirstYear@Unimelb and FRESH Magazine. He is the author of Listening to Sophie and is currently the editor-in-chief for the college-based newspaper The Globe.
With this blog, he aims to discuss the impacts of new media on the individual as part of his media studies at the University of Melbourne.
Media practices have changed significantly since the birth of the internet.
Olle Lindholm now has his own Twitter account, Facebook page and website.
He is rather fascinated and concerned of his new “public image” and what it will do to his future. Exciting times, indeed.
How are you affected, my dear network comrade?
The blog will discuss “new media” dilemmas – such as YouTube fame, cyberbullying and digital afterlife – in a critical and engaging way.
How does new media affect you? Please comment.
These are the future challenges of our everyday lives.
Only by connecting the dots can we draw the picture of tomorrow.
